Every Meowster kitten carries a full 12-month genetic health guarantee. If a covered condition is diagnosed within that window, we replace the kitten or refund your full purchase price.

What's Covered

• • Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM)
• • Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)
• • Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) — Maine Coon-specific
• • FIV / FeLV (tested negative at departure)
• • PK-Deficiency (Bengal-specific)
• • Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA)
• • Any congenital defect requiring euthanasia within 12 months

Testing We Do Before Departure

• • Full DNA panel on both parents (breed-appropriate genetic disorders)
• • Echocardiogram on Maine Coon and Sphynx breeders (annually)
• • FIV/FeLV test on kitten before placement
• • Full deworming + FVRCP vaccinations
• • Vet health certificate within 10 days of travel
• • For imports: pet passport + USDA entry clearance

What's Not Covered

Injuries, accidents, parasites acquired after adoption, upper respiratory infections (URIs), obesity, or any condition caused by neglect or the owner's environment are not covered. The guarantee applies only to genetic and congenital conditions.

How to Claim

Contact us immediately with your kitten's name, vet's diagnostic report, and all supporting documentation. We respond within 48 hours with next steps. Replacement kittens come from the next available matching litter.
