British Shorthair

The Plush Teddy Bear

The British Shorthair is everything you picture when you imagine a classic “cartoon cat” — round face, round eyes, round body, plush double coat. The blue (Russian Blue-grey) variant is the signature color, but British Shorthairs come in every pattern and color, including the dramatic black-and-white tuxedo, silver tabby, and golden shaded.

Temperament

The British Shorthair is the opposite of a lap cat. They’re dignified, independent, and quietly affectionate — they want to be in the same room as you, not on your chest. This makes them exceptional apartment cats: they don’t demand constant interaction, they’re quiet (rare meowers), and they adapt effortlessly to working-from-home schedules.

Our Import Program

We source British Shorthair kittens exclusively from WCF-registered European catteries in Ukraine, Poland, and the Czech Republic, each vetted for health, registration integrity, and breeding ethics. All imports:

  • Full WCF pedigree with 4+ generation lineage
  • HCM and PKD genetic testing on parents
  • Pet passport, USDA entry clearance, full vaccinations
  • 1-year health guarantee
  • Flight-nanny or cargo delivery with tracking
  • Blue (classic gray) — most in-demand
  • Black & White tuxedo
  • Silver shaded & Golden shaded
  • Cinnamon & Chocolate (rare, higher price)
  • Color-point (Siamese-style face markings)
